Whoa -- it's been a month!

I have not seen the last month go by.  Seriously, it is May already, wedding season is starting in a week and I am feeling overwhelmed.  Add on to that that it is tax season until the end of May, which means long days for hubby ( got home at midnight on Tuesday, and 9:30pm on Thursday).  So all down time is spent with the girls.  We have been doing some outings with them (I took pictures but haven't downloaded them yet)

So I am trying to back track -- on April 11th -- Alison's gymnastic's went to the regional competition (there were only 3 teams per county).  They started off on the beam and Alison went first, and the stress got the best of her and she fell twice on her entry on the beam, but she sucked it up and went on to do a flawless exercise on the beam (then she cried in her coach's arms) Luckily they only keep 4 out of the 6 scores, so Alison knew that she did do too much damage.  She then when to the floor where she rocked (see video), the horse and she finished on the uneven bars (see video)

After their rotation we hung out waiting for the results.  Their team was awsome and pulled in 3rd place but with less that a point difference with first place team.  It is pretty amazing since her gymnastics club is pretty small and they beat out a lot of big city clubs.  She has been on a gymnastics high ever since.  Sunday Alison and Sami will be competing in an individual competition.

And here is a little video to show you Leïla's new "talent" -- I tried to get her to do the twist at the end -- usually she does the twist while she sings. She kinda has the rocker style going on -- I keep on thinking that she is going to smash her guitar on the floor at the end.....
