Easter is nothing like it is in the US -- no major egg hunts, no Easter dresses, no plastic grass for the cat to choke on, and the Easter bunny is replaced by the Easter bells -- basically when the church bells ring in Italy chocolate eggs are scattered all around. On top of all that the weather was not the greatest -- the girls got a light shower while looking for their eggs at our house. And we were stuck in the car for 5 minutes when we got to my inlaws because of a short hail storm. We waited until things calmed down before they went looking for the chocolate eggs that were put out before the storm. They ended up getting rained on again, but didn't really mind.
We spent the rest of the day sitting around a good meal while the girls were getting a sugar high, and cuddled the little babies. Here are a couple pictures of the afternoon (Sami was running from the camera)
